Location: Wray CO
Assignment Type: Contract
Duration: 10 Weeks
Schedule: 40 Hours/Week
Shift: Variable Evenings/Nights
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide quality patient care in a Long Term Care (LTC) setting. The LPN will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician delivering direct patient care and supporting daily clinical operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with established care plans
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure temperature pulse respiration)
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed
- Assist physicians and RNs during examinations and minor procedures
- Perform clinical tasks such as wound care dressing changes and specimen collection
- Prepare patients for diagnostic tests and procedures
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Ensure adherence to infection control and safety standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Colorado (CO) LPN License or Compact State License
- Minimum 2 years of LPN experience in LTC or similar setting
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Strong clinical communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
