As a Data Center Technician you are a primary resolver for your support team and are skilled at troubleshooting one or more operating systems. You are able to troubleshoot and solve all but the most complex infrastructure issues. Issues are escalated to the appropriate resolver groups when necessary. You create and maintain documentation on technologies you support and are able to convey SOPs to junior staff. You understand all aspects of the equipment you support. You know how to innovate and make decisions on his/her own but also know how to take direction when it is given paying attention to all details involved.
You are able to execute small projects on your own and work with your manager in planning and executing larger local projects. You act as an escalation point for junior technicians. You understand all aspects of the equipment you support.
Position may include rotating shifts 3 4 or 5 day/night work weeks and may change based on the needs of the business. Travel may be required up to 10% of the time. This position will fill an opening at one of multiple separate sites.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
Key job responsibilities
You work as part of the Operations team whose primary responsibility is the maintenance and upkeep of the data center infrastructure. To make this possible your role and responsibilities include but are not limited to server rack installation hardware break-fix on various components troubleshooting network issues rackdown recovery and responding to emergent situations that affect operational stability. You may be the primary contact point for both internal customers (for example: Network Engineers Systems Engineers Software Developers Database Engineers Technical Operations) and external service partners (Hardware Vendors Contractors Service Providers among others).
You will work and meet service level agreements against assigned trouble tickets via a directed workflow be the first line touch point for hardware troubleshooting and technical issues which involves regular server hardware repairs (drives motherboards etc.). You will also carry out routine network server hardware and operating system related repairs. This work contributes to the availability of the AWS service catalogue for external customers.

- High school or equivalent diploma or A or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network or Security
- Current active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
- 1 years of Computer Hardware Repair Infrastructure Cabling Network Deployment or Data Center Operations experience

The starting pay for this position is listed below. Final starting pay will be based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
