KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages a project.
  • Coordinates the strategic planning process and monitors progress toward achieving project goals.
  • Assists in developing administering and monitoring project related budgets.
  • Coordinates logistical arrangements for related conferences conventions or meetings.
  • May assist in identifying funding resources and in developing funding strategies and initiatives.
  • Develops and generates various operational and statistical reports.
  • Represents and promotes the project at various speaking engagements.
  • May write grants reports briefings newsletters promotional or other written material related to the project.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Regularly attend and contribute to team meetings
  • Work closely with the PI and Supervisor to coordinate the research project activities in accordance with the project timelines
  • Prioritize the large multi-component study
  • Oversee and assist the student research assistant in data collection entry and analysis
  • Conduct data quality checks
  • Work with the supervisor and PI to ensure compliance with relevant policies
  • Assist with dissemination of the study findings (e.g. help identify conferences and submit conference abstracts publish findings in the scientific literature sharing the findings with community via townhalls etc.
  • In general work closely with the PI and Supervisor to achieve the project milestones
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills; clear evidence of the ability to work independently with diverse individuals including senior researchers; and experience as a member of a research team including experience securing IRB approval and adhering to IRB guidelines.
  • A masters degree in public health or another social science is not required nor is interest in or prior work on racism or health equity; however candidates with these backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelors degree in a related field and three years of related project management experience or an equivalent combination of experience education and training.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
