HSE Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
The HSE Manager (HSEM) is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the health safety and environmental (HSE) program at the PPV Dallas manufacturing facility. This role is instrumental in driving a strong safety culture ensuring regulatory compliance and partnering with operations to reduce risk and improve overall safety performance.
The HSEM will develop implement and maintain safety programs that align with company standards and regulatory requirements while actively engaging employees at all levels to promote ownership and accountability for safety.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop implement and maintain workplace health and safety policies procedures and programs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and all applicable federal state and local safety regulations.
- Conduct routine safety inspections audits and at-risk assessments within the manufacturing facility.
- Investigate incidents injuries and near misses; determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Lead and deliver safety training programs for employees supervisors and management.
- Maintain accurate safety records reports and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate and manage emergency preparedness programs including fire protection evacuation planning and drills.
- Collaborate with production maintenance and engineering teams to identify hazards and implement effective controls.
- Monitor safety performance metrics and develop continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage and oversee PPE programs ensuring proper selection use and compliance.
- Lead site safety committees/councils to promote engagement and continuous improvement.
- Promote and maintain a positive proactive safety culture across all levels of the facility.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization from executive leadership to hourly employees.
- Provide leadership coaching and development for HSE Technicians.
- Partner with HSE Director and HSE leadership to align site programs with company initiatives.
- Perform additional duties assigned by HSE leadership.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety-related role (manufacturing environment preferred).
- Completion of OSHA 511 (minimum requirement).
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety Environmental Health or related field preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing production or industrial environments strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA General Industry standards (29 CFR 1910).
- Professional certifications (e.g. ASP CSP OHST) preferred but not required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Primarily based in a manufacturing facility environment.
- Must be able to walk the production floor regularly and observe operations.
- Ability to respond to incidents and support emergency situations as needed.
- May require occasional travel for training or company meetings.
