Job Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC isseeking a dedicated Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) to join a healthcare team in a dynamic clinical setting. This role involves supporting providers and nursing staff delivering patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Collect document and maintain accurate patient information including medication and immunization records
Recognize and respond to signs and symptoms requiring urgent intervention and report changes in patient condition
Assist with patient transport clinic flow and monitoring of vulnerable populations
Prepare equipment and supplies for exams procedures and minor surgeries
Perform specimen collection point-of-care testing (POCT) immunizations and injections as ordered
Assist with radiology procedures when qualified
Support providers nurses and multidisciplinary teams within scope of practice
Identify gaps in preventive care and assist in patient follow-up
Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) when certified
Cross-cover team members to ensure efficient clinic operations
Participate in staff meetings and follow organizational protocols
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
One of the following credentials:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
EMT III (Alaska certified)
Alaska Paramedic certification
Nursing degree from an accredited institution
Preferred Qualifications
Previous healthcare or clinical experience
Knowledge of clinic workflows and procedures
Understanding of age-specific patient care and vital signs
Familiarity with life-saving techniques and medical terminology
