The Office of Undergraduate Academic Integrity is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Director of Academic Integrity for Educational Initiatives. It is an exciting time for academic integrity initiatives at Virginia Tech. The institution recently implemented a learning-centered academic integrity process. This position is an integral part of our efforts to support and promote a culture of honesty and integrity. The person in this position will be expected to function with a high level of independence grounded in a thorough understanding of the purpose policies and procedures associated with responding to student disciplinary matters. This position will also be expected to lead and implement strategies designed to educate the campus community under the direction of the Director of Undergraduate Academic Integrity. This position will also maintain a direct working relationship with other key stakeholders at the University. This position will require occasional night and weekend work.

The Assistant Director for Undergraduate Academic Integrity for Educational Initiatives is a member of the Office of Undergraduate Academic Integrity staff and has primary responsibility for leading the universitys efforts in educating the campus community on academic integrity. This position will specifically be responsible for developing and leading the following in the Office of Undergraduate Academic Integrity: assessment educational programming marketing and the oversight of faculty and student outreach programs. This position will engage closely with the Virginia Tech Community for the purpose of education surrounding academic integrity and will be primarily responsible for cultivating a culture of faculty and student support for academic integrity on the Virginia Tech campus.

Required Qualifications

1. Masters degree in degree in student development counseling educational leadership
public administration communication English or a related field.
2. Working knowledge of best practices in academic integrity.
3. Experience working with faculty in a higher education environment.
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to
communicate and collaborate at the highest levels of the university.
5. Strong written oral organizational management and interpersonal skills.
6. Strong customer service in an academic or professional office environment.
7. Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and timely decision-making practices to
accomplish organizational goals.
8. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Previous experience in higher education with faculty outreach student conduct
housing and residence life and/or a role that requires extensive collaboration between
academic and student affairs.
2. Experience teaching or advising within an academic program in higher education.

Hours per week

40 hours per week; M-F 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; and occasional night and weekend work
