Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:The Patient Advocate serves as a liaison between patients families and the Clinic care team to achieve positive patient experiences and promote patient-centered care. This role performs a wide variety of duties aimed at supporting patients in navigating health care services resolving patient complaints and concerns and providing targeted education and coaching to staff. The Patient Advocate assists with handling patient complaints collecting data resolving complaints and assessing and identifying any problem addition the Patient Advocate also serves as the Privacy Coordinator and assists the Privacy Officer with compliance and regulatory issues related to HIPAA compliance and similar matters including auditing patient rights policy development and organizational education. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Strongly prefer: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (Registered Nurse) with a current MS state licenseWill also consider: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or other relevant healthcare credentialMinimum of three (3) years of experience in management of a medical office preferredProficiency in the use of an EMR requiredQUALIFICATIONS:Must have strong interpersonal skills with a high level of empathy and professionalismMust have conflict resolution and problem-solving skillsAbility to work collaboratively across departments and specialtiesStrong discretion and ability to handle confidential informationComposure in fastpaced highpressure environmentsWillingness and ability to learn new technologiesDependable punctual and highly detailorientedStrong multitasking and independentwork capabilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAccurate documentation skillsAbility to follow established workflows consistentlyWORK SCHEDULE:Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM
