Position Title
Position Summary / Career Interest:
Performs all breast ultrasound exams including Breast Ultrasound biopsies/cyst aspirations/Needle Localizations and any other special procedures deemed necessary. Produces quality images and possesses strong communication skills.Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Performs all ultrasound techniques and breast examinations for all age groups.
- Performs breast ultrasound/axillary exams per protocol.
- Assists in minor surgical procedures (cyst aspirations and biopsies and needle localizations).
- Positions and transfers patient.
- Selects proper technical factors using age specific standards.
- Maintains records of examination data and other pertinent information.
- Consults with others to obtain complete clinical history; gathers pertinent clinical data.
- Schedules patients while coordinating other diagnostic procedures.
- Provides training to Breast Diagnostic Center staff on dedicated breast sono machine.
- Must be able to perform the professional clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
- 1 or more years clinical ultrasound experience
Preferred Education and Experience
- Breast Sonography within a clinical setting
Required Licensure and Certification
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or eligible within 1 Year
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
