The Project Coordinator serves as the main point of contact for DIS-TRAN Steel customers and serves as the liaison between business and technical aspects of projects. This position is responsible for scheduling coordinating and monitoring a variety of projects; assists engineering and technical staff to ensure that project schedules and the overall scope of projects are met. The Project Coordinator analyzes documents and communicates job requirements to teams at the corporate office and at the DIS-TRAN Plant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as the primary point of contact for customers regarding projects.
- Develop and maintain project schedules; manage and communicate any changes to scope timeline or deliverables.
- Maintain complete and accurate project folders ensuring all relevant documentation is current and accessible.
- Review and interpret customer-provided drawings and specifications to ensure project requirements are clearly understood.
- Mark up customer-provided fabrication drawings to reflect project requirements including galvanizing provisions special instructions and fabrication notes.
- Identify discrepancies or missing information in drawings and specifications and coordinate with customers detailing or engineering for clarification.
- Communicate project requirements effectively across all internal departments including Detailing BOM Engineering and Plant Operations.
- Update Epicor ERP system with project revisions schedule updates and other critical job information.
- Determine anchor bolt requirements and coordinate procurement of project-specific materials.
- Submit calculation packages and detailed drawings for customer review and approval; track and manage approval status.
- Support the Engineering and Detailing teams to ensure alignment with project scope schedule and deliverables.
- Monitor and track project milestones ensuring deadlines are met and risks are addressed proactively.
- Provide regular project status updatesboth written and verbalto customers internal teams and management.
REQUIREMENTS FOR PROJECT COORDINATOR:
- Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering Technology or a related field is preferred; satisfactory combination of education training and / or experience will be considered.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
- Capacity to read and understand fabrication drawings is required.
- Superb customer service skills are required.
- Experience in the steel fabrication industry is preferred.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office suite is required.
- Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is preferred.
- Experience with Bluebeam Revu is preferred.
- Regular reliable attendance is required.
