Job Summary
Inova Health is seeking a dedicatedPharmacy Internto join the team.This role will be PRN various shifts. Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) or every third weekend (Saturday/Sunday) plus an additional weekday every three weeks.

Pharmacy Intern Job Responsibilities:
Under the Pharmacist supervision:
- Performs all aspects of medication distribution.
- Manages medication inventory.
- Maintains Automated Dispensing Machine.
- Performs monthly pharmacy inspections per policies/procedures.
- Participate in patient care.
- Participates in department quality improvements projects.
- Developing skills and knowledge base necessary to practice as a pharmacist.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:High School or GED and enrolled in Pharmacy School.
Licensure:State of Virginia Pharmacy Technician license or a Pharmacy Intern license.
Certification:Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Maintain a Pharmacy School GPA 3.0.
Career Goal: Health system residency program following graduation.
Program Duration: Continue in role until Pharmacy School graduation.
