Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Operating RoomTechto support perioperative services in a fast-paced surgical environment. This role involves assisting physicians during surgical procedures maintaining sterile fields and ensuring proper handling of surgical instruments and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative patient care using appropriate surgical equipment and instrumentation
- Function as a scrub assistant during operative and invasive procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields
- Anticipate surgeon needs and ensure availability of instruments and supplies
- Assist with patient positioning and OR setup
- Collaborate with Registered Nurses and surgical teams
- Serve as a resource and role model for other staff members
- Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in the following specialties:
- General Surgery
- GYN
- ENT
- Orthopedics
- Urology
- Vascular procedures
- Experience with Robotics and Mako Robotics systems
Preferred Skills
- Neurospine experience
- Pediatric surgical experience
Required Certifications & Licensure
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- CST (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) Certification
