Class/Bus Aide

As a staff member you will have opportunities to grow as an individual and professionally and support our philosophy of parents as the primary educator of their children.

About the position:To assist the teacher and cooperate in a supportive role carrying out developmentally appropriate activities. To promote the health nutrition and education of the children and to attend to their safety and welfare. Also to assist the bus driver in providing safe and punctual transportation to and from classroom sites. Observing and monitoring behavior of children interacting with parents and staff to promote the well being of children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate classroom activities
  • Support childrens learning social development and daily routines
  • Promote childrens health nutrition and overall well-being
  • Ensure a safe and nurturing environment at all times
  • Observe and monitor childrens behavior and report concerns as needed
  • Interact positively with children parents and staff
  • Assist the bus driver with safe loading unloading and supervision of children
  • Help ensure punctual transportation to and from classroom sites
  • Follow all safety procedures and program policies

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • Valid WA State Drivers License
  • Bilingual/Spanish preferred

Details:

  • 40hr per week for 48weeks per year
  • Wage is$18.28per hour for qualified applicant
  • Assist the teacher and cooperate in a supportive role carrying out developmentally appropriate activities.
