Job Summary
Job Title: Bus Monitor (Part-Time)
Location: Uwharrie Charter Academy
Position Type: Part-Time (4 hours per day)
Compensation: $40.00 per day
Position Overview:
Uwharrie Charter Academy is seeking a reliable and responsible Bus Monitor to assist in ensuring the safety and well-being of students during daily transportation. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a positive and orderly environment on school buses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students while boarding riding and exiting the bus
- Ensure student safety at all times
- Assist the bus driver with maintaining appropriate student behavior
- Help enforce school transportation rules and procedures
- Provide support in emergency situations as needed
Qualifications:
- Ability to work effectively with students of all ages
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable and punctual
- Prior experience working with children is preferred but not required
Schedule:
- Approximately 4 hours per day (afternoon routes only)
