Job Title: Travel Behavioral Health Clinician (LICSW) Location: Falmouth MA Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule
Day Shift: 8:00 AM 6:00 PM
10-hour shifts 3 days/week (30 hours)
Rotating schedule including every other weekend and holiday
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Clinician (LICSW) to join a fast-paced Emergency Department team. This role focuses on providing crisis intervention psychosocial assessments and care coordination to support patients and families during critical situations.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct psychosocial and crisis assessments in the ED setting
Provide short-term therapeutic counseling to patients and families
Develop and coordinate safe and effective discharge plans
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians nurses and psychiatrists
Perform mental health and substance abuse evaluations
Facilitate referrals for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services
Assist with placement in psychiatric or long-term care facilities
Coordinate reporting for child and elder abuse cases
Act as a liaison with community resources and support agencies
Participate in care conferences and interdisciplinary meetings
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and documentation requirements
Provide follow-up support and continuity of care
Requirements
Active LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) Massachusetts
Minimum 3 years of experience in Behavioral Health and/or Emergency Department
CPI/MAB (De-escalation Certification) required within 90 days of hire
Qualifications
Strong clinical judgment and crisis intervention skills
Ability to thrive in high-pressure fast-paced environments
Experience in care coordination and discharge planning
Knowledge of behavioral health systems and community resources
