Essential duties and responsibilitiesmayinclude but are not limited to the following:

1. Maintains and cares for school grounds.

1. Prepares seeding or transplanting beds by cultivating soil and adding fertilizer or chemicals if needed.

1. Plants seeds bulbs tree seedlings and shrubbery so that resulting growth will produce attractive appearance.

1. Prunes trees and trims hedges to promote growth and improve appearance.

1. Mows lawn with hand or power mower.

1. Connects sprinkling equipment and waters lawn and flower beds.

1. Inspects flowers shrubs and trees for evidence of insects fungi and other pests and sprays or dusts chemicals on infected areas.

1. Adjusts and repairs such equipment as lawn mowers sprinklers and hedge shears.

1. Collects and disposes of leaves and refuse.

1. Installs performs minor repairs on and regularly inspects playground equipment fences and gates and reports problems promptly.
2. Irrigates playgrounds as directed by the Facilities Maintenance Director.

1. Performs other related duties as required by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Ability to lift average to heavy weights bend stoop reach and climb.

1. Ability to write read and follow oral and written directions.

1. Valid Arizona Drivers License required.
