Ophthalmic Technician

We are currently hiring for an Ophthalmic Technician based out of our Spencer Clinic.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Document patients medical and ocular histories in the electronic medical record.
Perform patient workups.
Complete diagnostic testing such as retinoscopy manual refraction applanation A-scan keratometry tonometry OCTs and visual fields.
Perform pressure checks.
Provide patient education according to physician instructions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Travel to other offices as needed.

Knowledge and Qualifications:

Medical office experience required.
Ophthalmic testing experience preferred.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Experience providing excellent patient care.
Demonstrated critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and communicate concerns regarding the results of diagnostic testing.
