Description
Role Summary:
The Facilities Specialist is responsible for supporting the set up of the Trenton facility daily operations maintenance and improvement of the Trenton sites physical infrastructure. This role ensures that the facility is safe functional and well-maintained while also assisting with vendor coordination space planning and compliance with safety regulations.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist with office moves furniture setup and space planning including during site set up.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of facilities and equipment.
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance with external vendors and contractors.
- Monitor building systems including HVAC plumbing electrical and security.
- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Respond to facility-related emergencies and service requests in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and facility documentation.
- Support sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
- 2 years of experience in facilities management maintenance or a related field.
- Working knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency with maintenance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift a minimum weight of 40 lbs.
