As a Transfer Driver for Darling Ingredients you are responsible for operating a commercial motor vehicle to transfer raw product from our transfer station in Blue Earth MN to our processing facility in Sioux City IA then returning back to the facility in Blue Earth MN.

• Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday.
• Start Time: 3:00pm can be flexible.
• Work Hours Per Day: 10

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Pick up raw materials as needed; weigh in raw material when returning to processing facility.
• Responsible for company vehicle; keeps vehicle in clean condition.
• Conducts all safety checks and inspections of vehicle; operates vehicle under state federal local regulations and in accordance with company policy and procedures; observes all company safety rules.
• Attendance at all safety meetings required; may be asked to serve on Safety Committee.
• Responsible for completing all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies (route tickets driver vehicle inspection reports accident reports mileage reports service forms etc).
• Maintain and update vehicle condition report daily.
• Maintain DOT log on onboard computer.
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A drivers license with Tanker Endorsement.
• Must be registered on Qualifications
  • Knowledge of safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle and general maintenance.
  • Works well with others in a team environment.
  • Dependable; reliable; ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
  • Good math and communication skills.

  Physical Demands

  • Constantly required to walk stand sit climb balance stoop kneel crawl and crouch.
  • Occasionally lift push pull or carry up to 100 lbs.
  • Regularly required reach with hands and arms.

  Work Environment

  Job functions will be carried out in a commercial motor vehicle and plant environment.
