Description

The Senior Manager - Office of the CPO is a key member of the Fortive HR Leadership team (HRLT). Reporting to the Chief People Officer (CPO) this role will be critical in driving and supporting the comprehensive Fortive people strategy ensuring alignment to the overall business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic insight and operational expertise directly engaging with the CPO and other members of the HRLT representing the CPO in verbal and written correspondence and thoughtfully planning and executing on high-priority and high-visibility enterprise HR projects and programs. This role ensures disciplined execution clear sequencing and predictable delivery across HR initiatives and activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the CPO and extended HRLT in the design and implementation of a comprehensive and cohesive Fortive People strategy.
  • Participating with the CPO and HRLT in strategic planning decision-making and execution of People-related initiatives and activities in line with the FTV People strategy and consolidated roadmap.
  • Ensuring alignment and integration across key HR pillars (e.g. Talent TR Op Co HR Culture).
  • Tracking progress of HR projects programs and deliverables; proactively identifying risk areas and ensuring CPO remains informed.
  • Identifying and implementing process and program improvements to increase HR operational efficiencies.
  • Tracking HR KPIs and metrics and delivering data-driven stories to inform CPO decision making.
  • Representing the CPO in meetings and through written correspondence with internal and external stakeholders where applicable.
  • Crafting or refining internal and external communications in partnership with Corp Communications/Brand team (announcements emails social media posts etc.) on behalf of the CPO.
  • Manage planning and logistics of corporate level leadership events including the Fortive Leadership Conference and quarterly summits as well as provide CEO event support as needed
  • Coordinate enterprise HR initiative launches and releases ensuring readiness across communications enablement and adoption
  • Track post-launch follow through and emerging issues intervening or escalating as required
  • Equipping the CPO with relevant meeting materials to drive valuable discussions.
  • Preparing executive-level materials as necessary including BoD presentations and reports to reflect progress against key People initiatives.
  • Ensuring and facilitating timely and effective completion of all initiatives responsibilities and tasks expected of the CPO.
  • Partnering with the Executive Assistant to the CPO in management of calendar travel etc. ensuring relevant priorities are being attended to.
  • Manage the operating cadence for HRLT (e.g. meeting agendas offsite planning etc.)

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in Business Management Human Resources or similar field.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources Project/Program Management or Executive Support.
  • Experience planning leading and executing on HR initiatives from inception through execution.

  • Comfort operating with influence structure and escalation rather than unilateral authority

Location and In-Office Requirements: Everett is not a remote role. The successful candidate is expected to be in the office at least 4 days per week.
