Position Overview

The Alene Moris Womens Center at the University of Washington is seeking a highly organized and collaborative Womens Center Administrator to support the Centers daily operations finances and program activities. Reporting to the Center director this position plays a key role in maintaining smooth administrative functions ensuring fiscal health and contributing to programs that advance equity leadership development and community engagement.

The Alene Moris Womens Center is a vibrant hub for leadership development educational programming and advocacy at the University of Washington. Serving hundreds of students staff faculty and community members annually the Center promotes academic success gender equity and community empowerment. Programs include the Moris National Education for Womens Leadership Human Trafficking Research & Advocacy Lifelong Learning Violence Prevention initiatives Making Connections and Re Entry support.

The Womens Center Administrator plays a critical role in advancing this mission by supporting inclusive transformative programming and ensuring the long term health of the Centers operations.

& Responsibilities

Office & Program Administration

  • Oversee daily administrative operations of the Womens Center including financial and programmatic decision-making.

  • Develop and maintain fiscal policies and procedures related to budgeting purchasing reconciliation grant management and scholarship allocation/tracking.

  • Prepare annual financial reports manage procurement processes monitor budget activities ensure compliance with UW policies and resolve financial or vendor-related issues.

  • Support scholarship outreach manage application processes and track scholarship recipients.

  • Assist in planning and coordinating special events conferences and public programsincluding speaker coordination marketing timelines and day of logistics.

  • Oversee information and referral services and support the creation of the Centers annual report.

  • Coordinate building operations as Building Coordinator including maintenance requests safety compliance and communication with Womens Center and ISS staff.

Supervision of Program Coordination and Logistics

  • Provide operational and logistical support to Program Coordinators across multiple Womens Center programs including Lifelong Learning Violence Prevention Feminist and Research Forums Anti Human Trafficking initiatives and the Moris National Education for Womens Leadership Program.

  • Lead the creation and distribution of outreach materials manage event advertising provide technical and day of support coordinate with speakers and process honoraria and post event follow up.

Budgeting and Payroll

  • Manage approximately ten Center budgets including student payroll.

  • Make recommendations to the Executive Director regarding allocations for staffing programs and services.

  • Produce monthly and annual budget reports.

Staffing

  • Partner with Human Resources and campus departments to hire and supervise up to fifteen hourly graduate and undergraduate student employees.

  • Provide recommendations on hiring performance evaluation disciplinary action and student staff training.

  • Recruit train and supervise interns and volunteers.

  • Facilitate team development run regular meetings and support staff in their professional and programmatic growth.

Representation of the Womens Center

  • Participate in meetings related to Center operations and programs.

  • Represent the Executive Director at internal and external meetings conferences and community events as needed.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree in a relevant Social Science field (e.g. Women Studies Political Science International Studies Geography Social Work).

At least two years of relevant work experience in:

  • Coordinating programming and events.

  • connecting underserved or underrepresented communities with resources.

  • multitasking and maintaining official communications with a variety of partners collaborators and stakeholders.

  • navigating complex structures and systems.

  • building relationships between various groups and organizations.

Additional Requirements

  • Experience supervising staff in a complex work environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to support diverse students staff and community populations.

  • Strong skills in leadership program development communication organization multitasking and team building.

  • Experience collecting analyzing and reporting data for strategic planning.

  • Working Conditions

  • Occasional evening and weekend work required.

Compensation Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$72000.00 annual

Pay Range Maximum:

$80400.00 annual
