Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Intern Operations and Maintenance Engineering for Summer 2026. The position is based in Pearl City HI.

Mission:
Contribute to the preparation of O&M documentation on the basis of internal standardsand contractual requirements

Accountabilities:

Analyze the field data in order to ensure the definition for each equipment the maintenance needs of the correct failure rate.
Contribute to the preparation of a field analysis report
Contribute to O&M documentation and participate in internal design reviews including documentation of
minutes and actions
Contribute to the preparation of O&M Management Plan Operation Plans Maintenance Plan Training plans Spare Parts and Special Tools list
Participate to projects bidding and delivery phases within project schedule

Required skills/experience:

Excellent written and oral communications skills and ability to communicate complex technical information
Strong relevant technical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Education:
Current Engineering student at a 4-year university with a graduation date between December 2026 and December 2027

Languages:
English Proficiency

In accordance with the DOTs FRA and FTA programs Hitachis substance screening program tests pre-employment candidates and current employees as required for safety-sensitive positions.

The hourly rate for this position is $22.00/hour.
