We are seeking an Payroll & HR Administrator who will play a key role in our payroll & HR operations. This position is critical in ensuring accurate payroll and benefits administration while also supporting the development of efficient systems processes and policies that serve our staff and organization.



We seek professionals who are proactive detail-oriented and motivated to improve processes and systems. At Providence Hall staff are empowered to contribute ideas increase efficiency and play a meaningful role in supporting both our employees and the schools overall mission and long-term success.


Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Department building and LEA professional development trainings and meetings


Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage full-cycle payroll ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Maintain payroll records and support payroll-related accounting functions including reporting and reconciliation
  • Assist with employee benefits programs including enrollments changes and terminations
  • Perform benefits reconciliation ensuring alignment between payroll benefit providers and financial records
  • Audit and resolve discrepancies in payroll and benefits data in a timely manner
  • Maintain and manage HRIS systems (BambooHR experience preferred) to ensure data integrity and accurate reporting
  • Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws and reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with the business office on payroll budgeting and financial processes (governmental accounting experience a plus)
  • Support day-to-day HR operations ensuring smooth and efficient execution of HR processes across the organization
  • Assist in drafting organizing and maintaining school HR policies procedures and documentation to ensure clarity and consistency
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and proactively recommend and implement solutions to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Assist in developing documenting and improving HR procedures and workflows
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with recordkeeping requirements
  • Generate and analyze HR reports to support decision-making and organizational needs
  • Coordinate and support annual HR processes such as renewals open enrollment and compliance reporting
  • Help ensure audit readiness for HR payroll and benefits-related processes
  • Provide guidance to staff on HR processes systems and best practices as appropriate
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the school
  • Maintain effective communication channels to ensure a collaborative learning community
  • Actively participate in assigned meetings professional development and other trainings
  • Other responsibilities as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration Accounting or related field preferred
  • Experience in payroll processing and HR generalist functions required
  • Strong understanding of payroll practices compliance and reporting
  • Experience with benefits administration and reconciliation required
  • Familiarity with payroll accounting; governmental accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with HRIS systems; BambooHR and/or Pelorus Methods experience a plus
  • Good organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Positive interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to maintain calm in high-stress situations
  • Willingness to effectively problem-solve take initiative and contribute solutions
  • Strong computer skills including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
  • Capacity to perform all the responsibilities listed in this posting
