Access Services Librarian

Job Summary
Specific Job Duties:
- Actively manage the operations facility and services for the Access Services Department of the library.
- Serve as liaison to one or more academic schools or departments in the provision of collection development instruction and research services.
- Recommend policies procedures services and enhancements to Access Services.
- Supervise train and evaluate regular and student staff.
- Work collaboratively and effectively as part of the library team and the University community keeping current on best practices in policy instruction and technology for Access Services.
- Establish and maintain professional and ethical boundaries with students co-workers and others in all learning environments.
- Participate in University service and events.
- Perform other responsibilities that may be assigned by the University Librarian.

- Prolonged periods standing or sitting at a desk bending kneeling
- Ability to lift 20lbs.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Three years of academic library experience
- Supervisory experience
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous scheduling and training experience.
- Familiarity with library software packages: Alma/Primo Springshare OCLC Tipasa
Education:
- ALA accredited Masters of Library/Information Science required
