Design Professional II Facades

Overview:

Responsibilities:

• Modifies or creates enclosure sketches drafted details 3d models BIM models narrativesspecifications reports and other documentation applying standard architectural and engineeringtechniques and according to written and verbal direction with general supervision
• Collaborates with project or team leaders on design and technical resolution of projectimplementation for a defined portion of a project
• Performs routine architectural engineering and/or energy analysis tasks including designresponsibilities in collaboration with other team members
• Assists in preparing client presentations and presents project design intent or analysisresults
• Performs product research; assists with enclosure material selection and systemresearch
• Communicates with other disciplines vendors and contractors to incorporate information intodesign project requirements and documents as needed
• Provides guidance and direction to entry-level staff as appropriate
• May support research of code requirements and engineering standards
• May attend on-site visits field reviews client meetings or project meetings and documentthese visits as appropriate
• May assist in preparing proposals presentations schedules physical samples or physicalmodels
• May participate site or factory inspection audit or test oversite visits

Qualifications:

• Accredited professional degree in Architecture Engineering or related field
• Actively pursuing Architectural or Engineering Registration
• Typically with 3-5 years of experience
• Sustainable design accreditation preferred
• Knowledge of scripting and parametric modeling software such as Grasshopper Ladybug ToolsDynamo Python C# preferred
• Awareness of structural analysis software such as Strand Solidworks SJ Mepla Ansys Mechpreferred
• Proficiency with thermal engineering software such as LBNL Window LBNL Therm LBNL OpticsWUFI WUFI Mould Index VTT
• Proficiency with optical lighting and daylighting design software such as RADIANCE ClimateStudio EVALGLARE Acelerad Ladybug Tools ALFA LARK preferred
• Proficiency with architectural software such as Revit AutoCAD Navisworks and 3D modelingpreferred
• Experience in Photoshop Illustrator Sketchup and InDesign graphic softwarepreferred
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite preferred
• Knowledge of sustainability and integrated design guidelines
• Knowledge of QA/QC process and building codes
• Ability to communicate in a clear concise and professional manner both verbally and inwriting
• Ability to problem solve and collaborate on innovative solutions
• Ability to work in team environment
• Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
• Ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality
