Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and provide medication management for inpatient populations.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Participate in treatment planning daily rounding and care coordination.
- Assist with discharge planning and continuity of care for patients transitioning to outpatient settings.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Board Certified PMHNP or Physician Assistant with psychiatric experience.
- Active or license-eligible in Alabama.
- DEA certification or ability to obtain.
- Strong clinical and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hospital-based inpatient psychiatric setting.
