Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support healthcare providers in delivering high-quality patient care. This role involves a combination of clinical and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced outpatient setting while ensuring a positive and efficient patient experience.
Responsibilities
Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs medical histories and chief complaints
Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures
Administer medications and injections as directed
Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in EMR/EHR systems
Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow
Communicate with patients for follow-ups education and care instructions
Ensure exam rooms are clean stocked and compliant with safety standards
Support billing coding and insurance verification processes as needed
Required Qualifications
Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) through NHA or equivalent
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
13 years of clinical experience preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
Experience with EMR/EHR systems (Epic preferred)
Required Skills
Administering medications and injections (including intramuscular)
Patient rooming and documentation (history medications allergies)
Insurance verification and authorization forms
Pharmacy coordination and refill requests
