Job Summary:

Are you ready to have an exciting career with a growing company Appalachian Underwriters Inc. part of Acrisure is looking for a Senior Underwriting Assistant for our Oak Ridge TN office. The Senior Underwriting Assistant supports the underwriting staff by carrying out various support tasks. This role manages complex binding endorsing and canceling tasks across multiple accounts.

*Also open to candidates on-site in our office in Saint Peters MO Burlington NC Charlotte NC or Boone NC.

Responsibilities:

Issuance of quotes endorsements and cancellation notices.
In-bound and outbound calls with agents clients and brokers.
Response to submissions e-mails messages within timely manner.
Assist business individuals and/or teams responsible for preparing binding documents.
Maintain updated documentation.
Manage and coordinate the filing of documentation as it relates to policies.
Follow up with customers to insure accurate records.

Requirements:

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
Strong communication and computer skills.
Must be highly organized detailed oriented and have excellent time management skills.
Must have strong teamwork skills.

Education/Experience:

4 years of experience in underwriting support/related field OR Bachelors degree & 2 years experience in related field

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration team leadership and cross-functional partnership.
