Description
Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Cook.
The Cook is responsible for providing setting up cleaning up transporting and cooking 3 days with the Sous Chef preparing food for clients while ensuring food safety and hygienic procedures are always followed.
CooksResponsibilities:
- Prepare cook serve and deliver meals snacks and beverages to clients and clinics
- Support catering services including setup breakdown transportation and event support
- Maintain food safety sanitation and proper food handling procedures
- Assist with inventory management stocking and kitchen supply monitoring
- Stock and clean doctor lounges and support kitchen maintenance and general cleaning
- Follow facility procedures safety protocols and regulatory requirements
- Support special events and perform additional duties as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Valid drivers license required
- Minimum 1 year of food service or cook experience required
- Knowledge of food preparation sanitation and safe food handling practices
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and varying catering schedules
