Description of Work
Under general supervision this position performs technical and detailed accounting work required to maintain accounting operations for the Office of Administrative Hearings. This role supports the Business Manager in maintaining agency financial accounts and records and assists in the preparation of financial reports and analyses.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Key Responsibilities
- Performs specialized and technical work in Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable and Financial Reporting.
- Enters payments in the system and run weekly reports for management.
- Generates Refund Report to Clerks office by end of the month.
- Serves as Point of contact for service contracts and bill.
- Creates and maintains accounts payable ledgers.
- Orders office supplies and equipment.
- Records deposits in NCFS in the General Accounting Module.
- Assists with End Year closing including EAGLE Program audits.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of accounting and purchasing.
- Strong ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures.
- Experience gathering and analyzing accounting data.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to financial transactions.
- Ability to research identify and resolve discrepancies in accounting transactions.
- Demonstrated ability to create and analyze spreadsheets.
Minimum Education and Experience

Associates degree in Accounting from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in accounting; or High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of experience in accounting work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.EEO Statement
