Job Summary

Senior Helpers has proudly provided professional in-home care services in the Des Moines area for over 17 years and is now growing in Ames. We are seeking a compassionate organized and motivated Office Manager/Recruiter to staff our Ames office.

Job Title: Office Manager / Recruiter
Location: Ames
Schedule: Full-Time MondayFriday 9:00 AM 5:00 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Office Manager who will also lead recruiting efforts. This dual-role position is responsible for overseeing daily office operations while attracting hiring and onboarding top talent. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented people-focused and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Office Management Duties

  • Oversee daily office operations to ensure efficiency and organization
  • Manage office supplies equipment and vendor relationships
  • Support leadership with administrative tasks and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Assist with basic HR documentation as needed
  • Create and maintain a positive professional office environment

Recruiting & Hiring Duties

  • Develop and post job listings on various platforms (Indeed social media etc.)
  • Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate interviews
  • Coordinate phone interviews and schedulewith hiring managers
  • Perform reference checks
  • Manage onboarding process for new hires (paperwork orientation training schedules)
  • Build relationships with local organizations and job boards to attract talent

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in office management recruiting preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
