Senior Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical vision and hands-on expertise to execute platform solutions.
• Cloud computing infrastructure including scale performance and cost management.
• Gather technical requirements validate architecture and create/review designs.
• Coordinate efforts across the data engineering data curation and platform engineering teams to successful completion.
• Guide engineering resources towards code standards and templates as part of data frameworks and patterns.
• Demonstrate ownership of technical stacks for individual cloud applications.
• Align with AbbVie systems lifecycle standards and processes.
• Ability to manage time and deliver results across multiple workstreams at once.
• Work with team members from around the globe (onsite offshore).
• Onsite position/2days a week WFH eligible.

Qualifications :

Education & Experience

Must possess Bachelors Degree in  Computer Engineering/Applications and twelve years (12) years of IT experience. Alternatively the Employer will accept alternation combination of education and experience: Masters Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering/Applications and eight (8) years of IT experience.

Requires 8 years of experience in the following: Hands-on technical proficiency in Python Apache Spark and SQL; AWS development with core AWS services like EC2 Glue Spark S3 Redshift and Athena; Relational and non-relational databases from a data domain perspective; Building data engineering pipelines using orchestration tools like Apache Airflow and GlueETL; Developing API architecture; and Metadata management data quality master data and data lineage.

Requires 3 years of experience in the following: Serving as a Technical Project Owner; and Serving as a Team Lead.

Additional Information :

Salary Range: $117957 - $178500 per year
