Job Purpose:
The graduate assistant serves as the main liaison between the tutors and the director of Wilmer Writing Center. Moreover the graduate assistant is responsible for conducting both in-person and online tutorials for undergraduate graduate and post-graduate students. The graduate assistant also assists in creating materials for the center assisting the director in supervision of the undergraduate tutors and in providing professional editing services on submitted manuscripts

Essential Duties:
Tutoring undergraduate graduate and post-graduate students in writing across all disciplines
Conducting in-person and online tutoring (both synchronous and asynchronous)
Assisting the director with creating content for and maintaining Wilmer Writing Centers Online Writing Lab
Assisting the director with creating resources for tutors and tutees
Creating and participating in writing center events workshops and promotional activities
Edit and provide light formatting on manuscripts submitted for professional editing
Assisting the director in managing undergraduate tutor staff

Qualifications
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
Excellent writing and communication skills
Knowledge of writing mechanics and grammar familiarity writing with sources and basic formatting and citation requirements
Experience teaching or tutoring
Supervisory experience a plus!
Undergraduate degree required
