Job Overview
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography scans while ensuring patient safety comfort and adherence to radiation protection standards. This role requires strong technical expertise independent judgment and collaboration with healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities
Perform CT scans of designated anatomical areas as ordered by physicians
Operate CT equipment and control console with precision
Position patients and ensure proper imaging techniques
Monitor patient condition and provide care during procedures
Administer or assist with contrast media as required
Evaluate images for quality and diagnostic accuracy
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols
Assist physicians and nursing staff during procedures
Ensure equipment is calibrated maintained and functioning properly
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or GED
Graduate of an AMA-accredited Radiography Program
Licensure and Certification
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Required
Massachusetts State License in Radiation Control Required
CT Certification (ARRT) or completion of an accredited CT program Required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Required
Experience and Requirements
Minimum 3 years of Radiologic Technologist experience or at least 1 year of recent CT Tech experience (within the last 5 years)
Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures and safety protocols
