- Weekend Requirement: Every Saturday and Sunday (16-hour shifts)
- Additional shifts available based on preference
Job Overview
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography scans while ensuring patient safety comfort and adherence to radiation protection standards. This role requires strong technical expertise independent judgment and collaboration with healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans of designated anatomical areas as ordered by physicians
- Operate CT equipment and control console with precision
- Position patients and ensure proper imaging techniques
- Monitor patient condition and provide care during procedures
- Administer or assist with contrast media as required
- Evaluate images for quality and diagnostic accuracy
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
- Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during procedures
- Ensure equipment is calibrated maintained and functioning properly
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an AMA-accredited Radiography Program
Licensure and Certification
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Required
- Massachusetts State License in Radiation Control Required
- CT Certification (ARRT) or completion of an accredited CT program Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Required
Experience and Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of Radiologic Technologist experience
or at least 1 year of recent CT Tech experience (within the last 5 years) - Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures and safety protocols
