Job Description:
At Regions the Enterprise Compliance and Operational Risk Group Manager is responsible for setting strategic direction and overseeing the design and execution of enterprise-wide risk programs. This position is primarily responsible for adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards serving as a subject-matter expert and liaison for external agencies. Additionally this position is responsible for partnering with organizational leadership to ensure effective identification assessment and mitigation of emerging risks as well as to foster a strong risk management culture.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manages and develops a team of risk management leaders
- Consults with business groups on the design and implementation offirst line of defense activities controls processes and procedures
- Utilizes knowledge of applicable laws and regulations to ensure business line leadership is properly trained in the timely identification mitigation resolution and reporting risks and issues collaborating with team on material changes when necessary
- Maintains continuous dialogue and transparent communication with supervisory authorities on applicable matters
- May act as the business group Chief Conflicts Officer with oversight of conflicts identification and tracking activities
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in related field
- Fifteen (15) years of experience in risk audit or related oversight function(s) including eight (8) years in a supervisory/managerial role
- Experience working directly with regulatory agencies
Preferences
- Applicable certifications (e.g. Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM))
- Masters degree in related field

- Ability to prioritize projects and allocate time efficiently and effectively
- Ability to research analyze data and derive facts
- Ability to solve problems and implement effective solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook etc.)
- Strong verbal written communication and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience skills knowledge contribution job location and most importantly performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
