Job Summary
Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Long Term Care (LTC)
Location: Hot Springs SD
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift: Variable (Days Evenings Nights)
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide high-quality care to residents in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting. The CNA will support daily living activities assist with patient mobility and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing dressing grooming and toileting
- Support mobility transfers and repositioning to prevent pressure injuries
- Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure temperature pulse respirations)
- Assist with feeding hydration and monitor dietary intake
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
- Maintain infection control standards including proper use of PPE and hand hygiene
- Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs
- Ensure a clean safe and supportive environment for residents
Required Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in South Dakota
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- High School Diploma or GED
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of CNA experience
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Compassionate and resident-focused approach to care
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks including lifting and repositioning patients
