Inova Woodburn Operating Room is seeking a dedicatedSurgical Technologist 3to join the role will be full-time day shift: Monday Friday days will vary: 10 hour days. Sign-on Bonus & relocation assistance eligible.

Surgical Technologist 3 Job Responsibilities:

• Recognizes safety hazards and initiates appropriate preventative and corrective actions.
• Anticipates the need for unscheduled procedures or unanticipated turn of events during a surgical procedure.
• Demonstrates superior knowledge in stressful and emergency situations.
• Assists with the flow of the daily operating room schedule by readily accepting assignments/reassignments.
• Demonstrates awareness of and commitment to professional and leadership responsibilities.
• Accepts responsibility for judgments and actions.
• Supports and participates in departmental goals educational programs and QI process.
• Documents evidence of at least 40 hours of self-development activities with a minimum of 12 formal contact hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High School or GED
• Experience:Two (2) years Surgical Technologist experience.
• Licensure: Registered Surgical Technologist in the state of VA.
• Certification:Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery Certified (TS-C) via Life Support (BLS)upon start.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Sports Medicine Orthopedics Spine or General OR.
