Senior Security Analyst

Kinetic IT are looking for a Senior Security Analyst to join our Security Operations this role youll lead threat detection incident response and security monitoring with a focus on Microsoft Sentinel.

Youll act as a technical lead across IT and OT environments supporting SOC services improving processes and mentoring other analysts while working full-time onsite at our customers location (Perth CBD). This is a great opportunity to step into a leadership role and directly contribute to strengthening security capability in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities will include:

• Lead threat detection investigation and response using Microsoft Sentinel
• Improve detection rules log sources and overall SOC capability
• Support incident management and workflows through ServiceNow
• Drive automation playbooks and continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead or support purple team activities aligned to MITRE ATT&CK
• Mentor and support junior analysts

What youll bring to the table:

• Strong experience in SOC operations and incident response
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel and KQL
• Knowledge of ServiceNow Azure DevOps and automation practices
• Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK and threat intelligence
• Ability to work across IT and OT environments
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Current AGSVA Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain one (Australian Citizenship required due to customer requirements)
