Description

The Dietary Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for supervising Dietary Services staff and maintaining daily operations as directed by the Dietary Services Manager. This is a salaried exempt position.


Schedule:

5:30am-1:30pm: Monday thru Friday weekends as needed


Contributions:

  • Be knowledgeable about the different diets and consistencies of food prepared for the individuals.
  • Develop cross train monitor and counsel staff to ensure the correct food items and consistency of food items are being prepared and delivered.
  • Oversee and assist with all food production and food quality checks as needed.
  • Assist with the supervision of Dietary Services workers.
  • Work directly with Adult Training Facility (ATF) assigned staff within their service time frames.
  • Perform in-services and oversee the training of all newly hired Dietary Services workers.
  • Oversee and assist with kitchen sanitation.
  • Assist with special functions and events for individuals and staff (i.e. birthday dinners) and company functions.
  • Assist with the inventory of kitchen supplies and with ordering as assigned.
  • Maintain records of food and equipment temperatures.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements
  • Must possess knowledge of proper food handling procedures as well as knowledge of modified diets.
  • Must possess the ability to train supervise and evaluate employees.
  • Must establish an effective working relationship with all those with whom the Department comes in contact.
  • Must demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills.


Minimum Training and Experience:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must possess and maintain Certification in Food Safety.
  • Must have all required clearances.
  • Must maintain a valid Drivers License
