Position Overview
NDGCS is seeking a qualified and nbsp;Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and nbsp;to provide and nbsp;clinical supervision and consultation and nbsp;to social workers supporting individuals experiencing grief trauma and loss. This role is focused on strengthening clinical practice enhancing emotional resilience and improving the overall quality of care delivered by supervisees.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one clinical supervision sessions with LMSW-level staff.
- Support clinicians in enhancing self-awareness strengthening clinical effectiveness processing emotional impact and vicarious trauma and developing coping strategies and resilience techniques.
- Provide structured clinical guidance by identifying learning needs growth areas and individualized skill-building plans.
- Strengthen counseling approaches case formulation and intervention strategies.
- Apply and model advanced clinical concepts including transference countertransference cultural awareness value systems and parallel process in supervision.
- Collaborate with internal leadership to promote consistency in the supervision approach and clinical expectations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professional standards across all sessions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Active and nbsp;Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and nbsp;license in and nbsp;New York State.
- Minimum and nbsp;1 year of experience and nbsp;providing clinical supervision to LMSW-level staff.
- Prior experience working in a and nbsp;medico-legal and nbsp;environment.
- Experience supporting individuals affected by and nbsp;grief trauma and loss including cases related to substance use or similar crises.
- Strong interpersonal communication and professional judgment skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with high-risk or vulnerable populations.
- Strong background in trauma-informed care.
- Ability to support clinicians working in emotionally demanding environments.
- Experience providing reflective supervision and consultation in complex care settings.
Work Structure
- Session-based engagement.
- Each session is approximately and nbsp;45 minutes.
- Flexible scheduling based on availability and program needs.
