Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Neuro Stepdown / Progressive Care to provide high-quality care for patients transitioning from intensive neurological care. The ideal candidate will have strong neuro assessment skills and the ability to manage complex patient conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to neurological stepdown patients
Perform detailed neurological assessments and monitor for changes in condition
Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage telemetry monitoring
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Respond promptly to neurological and medical emergencies
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Patient Population

Adult Neuro Stepdown / Progressive Care patients

Required Qualifications

Minimum 18 months of recent Neuro Stepdown experience
Minimum 18 months of permanent RN experience in specialty prior to travel assignments
Active RN License (Ohio or Compact State)
BLS (AHA or equivalent) Required
ACLS Required
NIHSS Certification Required

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in PCU / Progressive Care settings
