Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room (OR). The ideal candidate will be proficient in both scrubbing and circulating across a variety of surgical specialties and comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform both scrub and circulating duties for surgical procedures
- Assist in a variety of cases including robotic GU GYN and general surgery
- Ensure accurate instrument sponge and needle counts
- Handle and label surgical specimens correctly
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to surgical safety protocols
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety
- Participate in on-call rotations for nights and weekends
Patient Population
- Adult surgical patients
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months of recent OR experience
- Minimum 18 months of permanent OR experience prior to travel assignments
- Strong experience in:
- Scrubbing and circulating
- Robotic procedures
- GU GYN and general surgeries
- BLS (AHA) Required
