Position Summary
The Manager of Test Engineering leads a team responsible for developing and supporting hardware test processes equipment and strategies that ensure product quality and efficient manufacturing. This role partners cross-functionally to deliver reliable cost-effective test solutions from prototype through production.
Essential Job Functions
Lead mentor and develop a team of hardware test engineers
Define and manage test strategies for new and existing hardware products
Oversee creation and maintenance of test plans fixtures equipment and automation
Ensure design-for-test (DFT) requirements are implemented in new designs
Support manufacturing and contract manufacturers with test readiness yield improvement and issue resolution
Ensure adherence to quality reliability and regulatory requirements
Drive continuous improvement of test processes throughput and cost
Collaborate with hardware firmware manufacturing and quality teams on product development and production scaling
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or related field
7 years of hardware test engineering experience including team leadership
Strong knowledge of electronic hardware testing instrumentation and automation
Experience supporting production tests in manufacturing environments
Proven problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with high-volume manufacturing and contract manufacturers.
Familiarity with DFT/DFM principles boundary-scan and reliability testing.
Experience with statistical analysis and test optimization
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit stand walk bend use hands operate a computer and have specific vision abilities to include close and distance vision and ability to adjust focus working with computer and business equipment.
