Position Summary

The Manager of Test Engineering leads a team responsible for developing and supporting hardware test processes equipment and strategies that ensure product quality and efficient manufacturing. This role partners cross-functionally to deliver reliable cost-effective test solutions from prototype through production.

Essential Job Functions

• Lead mentor and develop a team of hardware test engineers

• Define and manage test strategies for new and existing hardware products

• Oversee creation and maintenance of test plans fixtures equipment and automation

• Ensure design-for-test (DFT) requirements are implemented in new designs

• Support manufacturing and contract manufacturers with test readiness yield improvement and issue resolution

• Ensure adherence to quality reliability and regulatory requirements

• Drive continuous improvement of test processes throughput and cost

• Collaborate with hardware firmware manufacturing and quality teams on product development and production scaling

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or related field

• 7 years of hardware test engineering experience including team leadership

• Strong knowledge of electronic hardware testing instrumentation and automation

• Experience supporting production tests in manufacturing environments

• Proven problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-volume manufacturing and contract manufacturers.

• Familiarity with DFT/DFM principles boundary-scan and reliability testing.

• Experience with statistical analysis and test optimization

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit stand walk bend use hands operate a computer and have specific vision abilities to include close and distance vision and ability to adjust focus working with computer and business equipment.
