Forklift Operator

WHAT YOULL BE DOING

• Safely and efficiently operates stand-up and sit-down forklift; performs required daily inspections.
• Check availability of materials as listed on the production schedule and notify the Supervisor of any shortages.
• Verify production ticket to the pallet and pull finished goods from the packaging line promptly. Transports pallets to shrink wrap area.
• Transports needed packaging materials to the production area.
• Supplies machine operators with necessary supplies in an efficient and timely manner.
• Complies with company safety policies and maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures.
• Accurately completes required paperwork per company standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

WHAT WE NEED

• HS Diploma or GED.
• 1 years recent experience operating Sit Down and Stand-Up reach forklifts in a warehouse environment.
• Must be able to meet daily production requirements.
• Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Read and comprehend required paperwork.
• Writing skills sufficient to complete required paperwork.
• Ability to perform basic math skills
• Must display a positive attitude and work well with all levels of personnel.
• Ability to work well with all levels of employees whether individually or in a team environment.
• Effectively communicate questions problems and reports to co-workers supervisory and management personnel.
• Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed.

• 1 years operating Sit Down and Stand Up reach forklifts picking and pulling orders loading and unloading trucks in a fast paced warehouse environment.

• Frequently (more than 75% of time) required to: stand and/or walk use ladders and climb stairs bend and stoop reach push/pull kneel and crouch. Lift carry and/or move items up to 100 pounds without assistance; use hands to finger handle or touch objects tools or controls to verbally communicate; and to hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Frequently exposed to a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Frequently (more than 75% of time) exposed to dust and loud noise.
• Frequently (more than 75% of time) exposed to machinery and mechanical moving parts.
• Personal protective equipment such as hearing protection safety glasses hair net and food safety-related items is required.
