How youll contribute

Performs a variety of duties to support nursing administration. Reviews staffing needs on a daily basis calculating staffing requirements based on flexible staffing patterns and patient acuity and maintains record of reports. Supervises Patient Sitters.

Job Functions
- Reviews staffing levels to actively resolve staffing shortages using flexible staffing plan as guidelines for staffing requirements.
- In timely manner informs appropriate Director when staffing issues are anticipated and/or occur.
- Determines coordinates and supervises staffing assignments for patient sitters.
- Provides recruitment direction orientation training coaching and mentoring to Patient Sitters. Performs or assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
- Assesses and ensures quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies procedures and protocols.
- Composes types and transcribes correspondence forms reports presentation materials and other written communications.
- Receives screens and routes visitors and telephone calls. Responds to escalates and follows up on inquiries and problems as appropriate.
- Schedules/coordinates meetings conferences special events and appointments.
- Maintains assigned calendar(s).
- Maintains files and office equipment.
- Orders and stocks supplies.

Qualifications and requirements

Bachelors Degree in related field preferred
Applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education
