As a Connected Commerce Alternate Lending Risk AssociateinConnected Commerce Alternate Lending Risk Strategy you lead strategy development and ongoing optimization for unsecured installment lending products includingChase Pay in 4.
You will own key elements of segmentation targeting and performance monitoring applying quantitative analysis to improve profitability credit outcomes and customer experience. Youll also partner with technical and business stakeholders to translate analytical insights into rules automation controls and scalable executionwhile supporting regulatory and policy alignment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Developunsecured installment lending risk strategies using quantitative analysis (e.g. SAS SQL) to improve performance customer experience and execution quality
- Analyzeportfolio performance to identify trends risks and opportunities across segments channels and strategies
- Designsegmentation and targeting approaches to optimize approvals losses customer outcomes and profitability
- Createforward-looking analytics and recommendations to address business issues and anticipate emerging risks
- Forecastimpacts of strategy and mix changes;guidebusiness partners through adjustments based on expected outcomes
- Translatestrategy intent into clear requirements for rules engines and automated decisioning;partnerwith technical teams on implementation
- Buildmonitoring and reporting to track strategy health segment performance and operational execution
- Maintaincomprehensive controls to ensure processes execute as designed and comply with internal standards
- Investigateanomalies and performance changes;performroot-cause analysis andimplementcorrective actions
- Preparewritten presentations andcommunicateinsights findings and recommendations to senior leaders
- Supportadherence to regulations and alignment with Risk Policy and established procedures
Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:
- Minimum 3 yearsof experience in risk management and/or financial services (credit risk lending analytics strategy or related)
- Bachelors degree in a quantitative discipline ( Economics Financeor similar) or equivalent practical experience
- Hands-on experience usingSAS and/or SQLfor data extraction analysis and performance monitoring (other languages considered)
- Strong proficiency inExceland ability to synthesize results into clear decision-ready insights (Tableau experience a plus)
- Demonstrated ability toindependentlystructure ambiguous problems and produce forward-looking actionable solutions
- Proven experience performingquantitative performance analysis(segmentation targeting trend analysis monitoring forecasting)
- Strongwritten communicationskills including creating executive-ready presentations and documentation
- Strongverbal communicationskills including presenting findings and recommendations to senior management
- High attention to detail with a track record of strong execution ownership and follow-through
- Ability to partner cross-functionally with technical product operations and compliance stakeholders
- Sound judgment curiosity and a disciplined analytic approach to decision-making
Preferred Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:
- Experience supportingunsecured consumer lendingproducts (installment card or digital lending)
- Familiarity withrules engines automated decisioning and strategy implementation in production environments
- Understanding of consumer banking financial fundamentals (profitability drivers losses unit economics segment mix)
- Experience building and managingcontrols monitoring frameworks and/or issue management routines
- Exposure to risk governanceregulatoryconsiderations and policy adherence in a lending context
- Experience withTableau(or similar BI tools) to deliver scalable performance dashboards
- Demonstrated ability to drive improvements that measurably impactrisk outcomes and profitability
