Job Title: Mechanical AssemblerLocation: Columbus Ohio 43230 (Gahanna)Rate: Starting at $19/HRPosition Overview:The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling a variety of simple to complex metal cabinetry and fabricated products that support essential businesses. This is not an assembly line environmentit requires precision craftsmanship and attention to detail to produce showroom-quality finished products. Assemblers will receive hands-on training specific to the product line and will work closely with experienced team members in a fast-paced collaborative Responsibilities:Perform mechanical assembly of metal cabinetry enclosures and related and accurately interpret prints drawings and sealants gaskets and finishing techniques as a variety of power air and hand tools including rivet guns and -train on finishing equipment such as Fladder machines hand grinders and deburring operate pallet jacks and handle materials as high standards of quality precision and detail and properly handle various metals such as steels and direction well work independently and contribute positively to team dynamics by offering solutions to move projects a clean and organized work physical tasks including standing squatting bending reaching pulling pushing and lifting up to 75 lbs. during an 8-hour with other duties as assigned based on business Requirements:Experience: 23 years of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment (non-assembly line).Education: High school diploma or equivalent Skills:Mechanical aptitude with proven ability to use hand power and air to read and interpret technical prints and schematics applying sealants butyl and -training or experience with metal finishing equipment such as deburring and grinding computer skills (Word Excel or business software systems).Pallet jack experience required; forklift experience Requirements:Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. (average parts typically 215 lbs.).Ability to stand bend squat reach pull and push throughout the attendance and ability to meet physical demands of the Skills:Strong attention to detail and fine tactile skills and pride in team-oriented and proactive in to safety and continuous Requirements:Must reside in Columbus OH or surrounding areas with reliable pass a drug screen and background Qualifications:Job shop or custom fabrication experience in metalwork or fabrication (hardware insertion deburring finishing press brakes welding paint prep or powder coating).Knowledge of ISO standards and to identify various metals such as different grades of steel and aluminum.
