General Surgeon

Inova Surgery Service Line is looking for a dedicated General Surgeon for the Western Region to join the team. This is a full-time position inclusive of the below scope:

• Elective surgery & coverage at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital
• Elective surgery at Inova Loudoun Hospital
• 2 outpatient clinic locations
• Elective surgery at Inovas Ambulatory Surgery Centers.

Both hospitals and clinics are supported by a robust team of Advanced Practice Providers to provide timely consultation and continuity of care for our patients.

Additional Requirements:

• Work schedule:Monday Thru Friday with Call
• Education:An MD or DO from an accredited university medical school Completed ACGME residency training and subsequent fellowship Board eligible or board certified in General Surgery.
• Preferred Experience: One year of general surgery experience
• Licensure:Current or eligibility for an unrestricted Virginia state medical license and DEA

Preferred Requirements:

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and presentation skills for both clinical and non-clinical audiences in group settings or one-on-one.
• Expertise in establishing physician relationships combined with the ability to manage an interdisciplinary team while appreciating and fostering peer participation from all disciplines.
• Advocate for organizational Mission Vision and Values
• Strong interests with Robotics education research and public health are a must.
