Work Schedule: Night Shift 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Location: Canton GA
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical/Surgical unit with a focus on neuro and surgical patient care. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from acute illnesses and various surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to medical and surgical patients
- Monitor assess and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families on care plans and recovery
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards
Patient Population:
- Patients recovering from neurosurgery neurology conditions ENT procedures and general surgery
- Mix of ambulatory patients capable of partial self-care and patients requiring total care
- Patients needing continuous assessment and monitoring
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical/Surgical experience (neuro experience preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
