Job Summary
Position Summary
Residential Assistant/Tutor-Mentor for Upward Bound Summer Academy 2026 * Assist the Residential Coordinator (RC) with supervision of Upward Bound participants throughout the 5-week Summer Academy: 4 weeks of high school participants living residentially and 1 week of virtual activities. * Duties are assigned and may include student check-in/check-out lights out wake-up calls supervision of meals supervision of in-person classes supervision of virtual meetings supervision of free time duty phone nightly in-person programming meetings and serving daily needs of students. * Provide tutoring (as needed) and peer advisement to participants. * Live in residence halls to be present as needed for supervision of minors and lead a core team of students for mentorship. * Facilitate living and learning environment in the residence hall. * Create an environment which promotes intellectual academic social and emotional growth. * Foster social interactions when present on campus and learning environments online. * Maintain regular communication with the Director Coordinator RC and other residential staff regarding the progress of participants. * Participate in all in-service training and staff meetings. * Report to the RC.
