Job Description:
Our site near Culpeper VA located in beautiful rural Orange County (approximately 1.5 hours from Washington DC) is growing! This site serves as our center of excellence for Solid Rocket Motor Propulsion and Energetics development as well as highcomplexity production programs.
We are seeking a Receiving Inspector to join our team at our Culpeper VA location.
Essential Functions:
Under general supervision an Inspector C applies quality assurance concepts practices and techniques. This role requires strict adherence to safety and housekeeping standards. Employees in this position will be required to enter manufacturing areas. Work hours will align with those of the manufacturing operations and overtime may be required at the direction of the department manager.
- Use calipers micrometers and other measuring and/or specialized equipment to perform inspections on rocket motors and rocket motor components under the supervision of higherlevel inspectors in accordance with AS9100/ISO 9001 requirements.
- Complete documentation including IR cards discrepancy reports and related paperwork.
- Enter shipping data discrepancy reports and Oracle entries into the computer system for all programs.
Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Ability to obtain US Security Clearance.
- Coursework from a trade or vocational school related to reading and interpreting complex blueprints and basic math.
- Understanding of relevant AS9100/ISO 9001 elements.
